Goodwood park is seeking an exercise rider to assist with riding our horses at our farm property in Torquay.

We are currently seeking a casual Rider to join our team, exercising racehorses. 

 

No galloping is required. No specific 'track work' experience is required.

 

The role may suit someone looking to further develop their riding skills, however must be a must be a competent and confident rider.

 

THIS WOULD BE A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR EVENTERS OR TRACK WORK RIDERS.

 

You will be required to ride about 7-11 horses per day in slow work, through open farmland and within a large sand arena.

Hours of the role: Monday- Friday with the the hours of work being flexible pending on the candidates capability.

Some ground duties will be required on a daily basis as well. These will include:
 

• Feeding

• Rugging

• Loading/unloading horse trucks and horse walker

• Assisting farriers & vets

• Tidying the yard areas
